Clothing the New Man
No longer
yoked in sin, new clothing transpires.
Swearing and cursing maligning, we
cease.
Giving no offense in anything, we press
to honor.
Walking in light, His brilliance
defining, we clothe.
Futility
discarded, He renews with understanding.
Soiled by sin, old garments cast off,
truth clothes.
Deceitful lusts left behind, He clothes
in purity.
Lying
and deceit disposed, we speak truth in
love.
No longer
restricted by our own desires, we rise.
Cloaked in humility, purity releases His
nature.
The
word of truth defining, we rise in
sincerity.
Unknown, yet known, dying, we travail to
gain.
No longer
stealing, we labor diligently to
restore.
Clothed in servant’s attire, we toil
to free others.
In
time, money, and possessions, we give
freely.
Called to higher purposes, we serve in
simplicity.
Cloaked in
His armor of righteousness, He refines.
Unentangled from all possessions, we
rise to gain.
Making many rich, unencumbered, we
possess all.
Separated from all ownership, we shine
brightly.
No longer
immersed in worldly idols, He
sanctifies.
Clothed in newness, He dwells with us,
as our Father.
Separated and clothed in His
righteousness, He fulfills.
As
His sons and daughters, He observes in
joyyfulness.

Put
off, concerning your former conduct, the
old man which grows corrupt according to
deceitful lusts, and be renewed in the
spirit of your mind, and that you put on
the New man which was created according
to God, in true righteousness and
holiness.
Colossians 4:22-24
