Baptized by Fire
Seeking and
asking, we knock with expectation.
Waiting patiently, we cry out for fire
to claim. To be fiery flames, we pray
for His Spirit to inflame. Embracing
His flame, fire burns in our
spirits.
Breathing upon us, fire touching, our spirits ignite.
Other languages bursting forth, we utter in delight. Cleansed by the
spirit of burning, sinful chaff burns.
Igniting the soul, flames ignite passion
that conforms.
Sinful desires
burned and turned to ash, soil readies.
Baptized by fire, new roots go deep into
God’s soil. New soil plowed, kingdom
seeds sprout, giving new life The
Lord’s planting bursting forth,
fruitfulness appears.
Refreshed
with other tongues, we speak to
strengthen. Speaking in the Lord's
language, His fire consumes. Baptized
by fire, divine revelation gives birth
to zeal. His word burning deep
within, His fire burns brightly.
Gifts given accordingly, we press
forward, inflamed. Passion burning
brightly, we pursue, strengthened.
Living and moving in Him, baptized by
fire, we display. Giving glory in all
things, fire consuming, we break away.
No longer mired in unbelief, faith
overcomes to reclaim. Enlightened by
all seen and heard, we go forth
inflamed.
Igniting flames in others, we rejoice in
all He performs. Baptized in fire,
flames spread rapidly to transform.
