Peace Through God's Sovereignty
Given to
fruitless ways, we cry to Him above.
Looking to the ways of man, we lose all
hope.
Where
is He who stills the wind ravishing
within?
In
turmoil, without hope, we wander
aimlessly.
The soul in
disarray, we cry to Him above.
Where
is He who quiets the raging storms?
Lost
in political jargon, we look to Him
above.
Speaking softly, we hear, be still and
know.
Speaking to
the Nations, He reminds us,
The
counsel of the Lord stands forever.
Rejoicing in His sovereignty, we sing
new songs.
He
who gathers the seas is in control of
all.
Though the
nations rage, their counsel falters.
He
who is sovereign makes their plans
ineffectual.
His
sovereignty healing, tears of anguish
disappear.
Restoring hope, languish gives way to
peace.
