The
Treasure of Love and Mercy
In Your
presence, we delight ourselves in You.
You alone are
the One who pours out Love and Mercy.
Of Your love,
You have given us a faithful High
Priest.
You have
given the One who delights in Love and
Mercy.
Sympathizing
with our weaknesses, You forgive all.
Who are we
that You gave the One who gave all?
Embracing the
cross led to the slaughter, Your Son
died.
Humiliated,
scorned, beaten, and crucified, He gave
all.
For our sins,
You became sin so we could be righteous.
As a
merciful, faithful High Priest, You
embraced our sin.
As You have
given Love and Mercy, we now offer.
Filling our
hearts with treasures, we give of
ourselves.
In truth and
righteousness, we now pour into others.
So others may
know of Your great love we now embrace.
Embracing the
cross, denying ourselves, we now give.
As Your name
lifted for all to see, You draw unto
You.
As others
come to Him who gave all, we rejoice.
Knowing You
will mold them as well, we give praise.
Love and
mercy filling all who bow before You, we
rejoice.
Filling our
hearts with Your treasures, we give
thanks.
But God
who is rich in mercy, because of His
great love with which He loved us, made
us alive together with Christ (by grace
you have been saved), and raised us up
together, and made us sit together in
the heavenly places in Christ Jesus,
that in the ages to come He might show
the exceeding riches of His grace in His
kindness toward us in Christ Jesus.
