The
Goodness of God
By Kenneth L.
Birks
Free to all,
the goodness of God springs forth from
love.
For those
responding, He fills with newness from
above.
Bound in
guilt, shame, and self-hatred, hearts
fill with love.
With goodness
received, new insight and revelation
flow freely.
From hearts
wide open, freedom from terrors flow
fearlessly.
In a moment,
the warmth of His goodness fills as hope
abounds.
No longer
drowning in sorrow, He places us on
solid ground.
Like a mighty
rushing river, the soul cleanses with
forgiveness.
Giving way,
streams of living water pour out of an
abundance.
From the
beauty of the newness within comes a
heart of peace.
Like a
guardrail, the goodness of God comes
with solid security.
A stronghold
in the day of trouble; anxiety and
tension disappear.
With new
strongholds in place, peace holds firm
in disparity.
Though storms
come, waves of peace wash away all
agitation.
As hope
fills, its anchor holds steady as storms
rage on.
As goodness
takes root, body, soul, and spirit
experience healing.
Where
sickness and disease existed, healing
enters for all.
As healing
takes root, sin and wounds give way to
regeneration.
Where
destruction was, now comes redemption
from the fall.
Oh, that
God’s people would give thanks for His
goodness to all.
