Clearing the Clutter
By Kenneth L.
Birks
Desiring to
move forward, stuck in muck, we cry for
relief.
Preventing us
from laying hold, clutter is seen,
causing grief.
As
realization takes hold, the need for
removal strikes fear.
Blocking
viability; envy, hatred, shame, and
lust, stand reproved.
Recognized as
strongholds, they clutter the way,
unmoved.
Immobilized,
crying for help, we thirst for freedom
and liberty.
Allowing
denial to lift, clutter is seen as
damaging negativity.
Taking heed,
we acknowledge and confess to others.
With thoughts
brought into alignment, hope overflows.
Giving
direction, the Helper aids in what’s
needed to grow.
With
determination and resolve, thoughts come
into captivity.
With new
thoughts, so captivating, we arise with
dignity.
With mighty
weapons given, vision for breaking free
liberates.
As old
strongholds disintegrate, freedom and
liberty release.
With vision,
faith arises with purpose, filled with
peace.
As fire
ignites from the kindling of old chaff,
vision increases.
The past left
behind and forgotten; new vision brings
peace.
Pressing
onward for the prize, the way forward is
unimpeded.
To this end
we now strive, His power working in us
mightily.
No longer
stuck, clutter removed, we move forward
readily.
