The
Potter's Wheel
By Kenneth L.
Birks
As the wheel
turns, the Potter shapes for
peculiarity.
With marred
clay, He shapes with wisdom and clarity.
As clay in
His hands, so are we while He takes
pleasure.
Delighting at
the wheel, He creates marvelously.
As the wheel
turns, He shapes each vessel uniquely
.
As the wheel
turns, He shapes to fulfill vision and
purpose.
Accordingly,
the Potter arranges His chosen vessels.
With
precision, He molds and shapes for their
intended use.
Knowing their
future, how each will respond, He
shapes.
As the wheel
turns, He fashions with eternal purposes
in mind.
As the wheel
turns, in mercy, He allows for
weaknesses.
Recognizing
imperfections in all, He continues to
shape.
With perfect
views of their end, He shapes
accordingly.
Knowing
whether they will be unto honor or not,
He molds.
As the wheel
turns, there’s sadness for those who
resist.
As the wheel
turns, not knowing what He knows, we
ponder.
Catching
glimpses of His hands at work, we become
pliable.
Carefully
watching His vessels in action, the
Potter smiles.
Setting up
divine appointments, He chooses wisely
for all.
As the wheel
turns, He shapes as tasks are completed.
As the wheel
turns, the chosen fully embrace their
Potter,
With delight
in the Potter’s work, they energetically
go forth.
With
anticipation, pressing through
obstacles, they trust.
Knowing that
the Potter is intimately acquainted,
faith arises.
As the wheel
turns, growth and maturity are
recognized by all.
