Communicating our Faith
Philemon 1:6
that the sharing of your faith may
become effective by the acknowledgment
of every good thing which is in you in
Christ Jesus.
What is it that God
has called you to do? It is through the
sharing or the communication of our
faith that it becomes effective. As we
share or confess to others the
acknowledgment of every good thing we
have in Christ Jesus, we grow and mature
in our faith and calling.
Ephesians 1:17-20 That the God of our
Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of Glory,
may give you the spirit of wisdom and
revelation in the knowledge of Him, 18
the eyes of your understanding being
enlightened; that you may know the hope
of His calling, what are the riches of
the glory of His inheritance of the
saints, 19 and what is the exceeding
greatness of His power toward us,
according to the working of His mighty
power 20 which He worked in Christ when
He raised Him from the dead and seated
Him at His right hand in the heavenly
places.
Let me ask you a
question. Daily, are you experiencing
the exceeding greatness of the power of
the Holy Spirit—the same power that
raised Christ from the dead? Probably
not. I know I’m not. It’s His will and
desire towards all of us. We may
experience it in varying degrees at
times, but for the most part, we are
still lacking. Why is that? Could it be
that we don’t fully believe to the point
we are entirely convinced in the same
manner that Abraham was? He was wholly
persuaded, without wavering by what God
had promised.
Paul also walked in
the faith of Abraham by basing his
confession on what he believed rather
than any doubts and uncertainties that
may have arisen from time to time. His
confession was, “And since we have the
same spirit of faith, according to what
is written, ‘I believed, and therefore I
spoke,’ we also believe and therefore
speak.”
God is waiting for us to
unlock all the treasures He has in store
for us through the communication of our
faith. Ask Him today, believing in the
promises given through His great
covenant of salvation. All His promises
are yes and amen. |
