Embracing Kingdom Powered Living
What do you
want out of life? Do you desire to be
successful in all that you do? Do you
desire to do great exploits for God? Do
you sometimes wish there was a magic
formula that is easy to incorporate into
your life so that you could be empowered
to accomplish great things? Well, there
is a formula, but it is not magic. It is
called faith and belief.
As
born-again Christians, we have been
freely given the anointing of the Holy
Spirit to be empowered in all that we do
and speak. As Paul told Ephesians, this
power is available to all who believe
according to the working of God’s mighty
power. Is this something you want? If
so, it belongs to you as part of your
inheritance in Christ.
Acts 1:8 But you shall receive power
when the Holy Spirit has come upon you;
and you shall be witnesses to Me in
Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria,
and to the end of the earth.
God has
empowered us for greatness to live our
lives to the fullness while doing
powerful things for Him and His kingdom.
During our pilgrimage here on earth, our
Savior desires to order our steps to go
forth into His harvest fields anointed
for action. When our lives align with
His desires, we reap the results of a
kingdom powered life.
It is our
Heavenly Father’s desire and will that
we be empowered by the Holy Spirit in
all that we do and speak in this life.
With the birth and the baptism in the
Holy Spirit, God has equipped us to be
more than conquerors in this life.
When Paul
wrote to the Ephesians church, he prayed
for them to receive the spirit of wisdom
and revelation of God so that the eyes
of their understanding would be
enlightened to the riches and the glory
of the inheritance that belongs to all
those who believe in Christ. He wanted
them to know the exceeding greatness of
the power that comes with this wonderful
gift we have been given. In other words,
He desires us to be empowered in every
aspect of our lives so that we are
properly equipped to sow and reap in His
harvest.
The key to
receiving and walking in this power is
developing an ongoing relationship with
the Holy Spirit through the Father’s
only begotten Son, the Lord Jesus
Christ.
The first
step to a kingdom empowered life after
coming to Christ is to believe what is
revealed about us in the Scriptures. The
Scriptures reveal we have access to the
exceeding greatness of His power as we
believe and embrace this truth. When we
wholeheartedly, believe and confess His
word great and powerful things begin to
happen in our lives. Paul said, “Since
we have the same Spirit of faith,
according to what is written, ‘I
believed and therefore I spoke,’ we also
believe and therefore speak.”
Upon
receiving the Holy Spirit at the
beginning of our salvation experience,
we must choose to believe all Scripture
is profitable for instruction in
righteousness. We must believe all that
God says about us in His word.
When the
Word and the Holy Spirit connect
together through belief, there is an
explosion that ignites within us that
empowers us. This is why Joshua was told
to meditate in God’s word day and night.
It is through meditating and
contemplating in His word that it gets
sown into the fibers of our being and
thus transformed into faith. Through
meditation, our belief system is
strengthened from faith to faith.
