On
the Horizon, They
Come Great and Strong
By Kenneth L.
Birks
On the
horizon, comes flashing storm clouds dark
and grey.
Looking from
heaven above, the Father sees land so
dry.
In vengeance,
a storm comes, pouring water on thirsty
ground.
With His
fist, gathering clouds together. rain
comes, now found.
With Flashing
clouds, a tempest comes on this
long-awaited day.
Filled with
anticipation, God’s people wait in
wonder.
As storm
clouds release, they stand in awe as He
thunders.
Satan
gathering forces in one mind, he wreaks
provocation.
With darkness
covering, God’s people rise and shine in
wonder.
Questioning,
are these the birth pangs foretold so
long ago?
Thirst
unquechable, they ask for more for the dry and
thirsty ground.
Crying repent,
they shout for times of refreshing
to be found?
Walking
circumspectly, they prepare new
wineskins for His
anointing?
Knowing it's
time to shine, they prepare for His
glory.
Preparing,
they ask for rainint the time of
the latter
anointing?
Casting
spells of hate on the anointed, Satan comes,
lying and destroying.
Great and
strong, His army comes, destroying
schemes of darkness.
Waiting on
Him, strength increases for what’s
coming.
As praise
arises upon those who follow, they
respond in love.
Without effect, weapons of darkness give way to
the light above.
The chosen
linking arms, they march together in
step, onward.
Their own
mountains to take, the anointing thrusts
them forward.
Like the noise of
a mighty army, they advance in step with
one another.
An ear to the
Father’s voice, they march, having found perfect
position.
Looking with
delight, He breathes on them in
fierceness and vision.
On the
horizon His anointing increases as the
glory of God settles.
The blind
and deaf are healed, while multitudes
are fed without trouble.
Rain
asked for comes in full force as they march,
Heeding His voice.
The fullness
spoken of evident, the anointing comes
in full force.
Multitudes
upon multitudes giving heed, their
battle cry is heard.
Like David,
losing and recovering all, they're told
in revover all.
In battle
array, they go, recovering all that the
enemy stole in the fall.
In hatred,
those casting spells stand defenseless,
drained of color.
the earth
quaking before them, His army marches as
the heavens tremble.
Excuting
God'sword, the day of the Lord at hand,
they prevail.
